Kelly and Dave held their wedding at the gorgeous Timber Cove Resort in the small coastal town of Jenner, California. The couple loves the outdoors and hiking, so being married cliffside overlooking the water was the perfect setting for them. They chose flowers of white and beautiful lush greenery with accents of deep burgundy and delicate pale blue. We used lots of spring blooms like ranunculus, hellebore, white jasmine vine, viburnum, tweedia and more. It was a joy working with Kelly and Dave, and to see these stunning photos from Andria Lo Weddings. The day was also executed perfectly by Downey Street Events. Enjoy!
I'm so excited to share a few photos from my and Josh's engagement session with the incredibly talented Kayla Yestal. We headed to Point Reyes for photos, and were so lucky that the winter rain held off until we were finishing up our session. It was so much fun to be in front of the camera and to be able to design some flowers just for fun!
Kara and Hank were married this summer at Vine Hill House, a charming apple orchard and vineyard venue located in Sebastopol, California. The couple chose shades of lavender and white with a summery and organic feel to the flowers. We used lots of fresh lavender, garden roses, honeysuckle vine, and more. Kara is the sweetest bride and I'm sure you can agree, looked so beautiful on her big day. Congrats, you two!

Carrie and John were married this fall at the lovely Garden Pavilion in Sonoma. Carrie is one of my oldest childhood friends, and it was a true joy to celebrate with her and her family. Carrie opted for vibrant fall colors with a slight Spanish inspiration. The tables featured long garland inspired greenery with satsuma oranges. Each place setting had a lovely Spanish tile with guests names, and a Spanish meal was served, complete with Paella. It was such a beautiful and joy filled day, and I was so happy to provide flowers and to be a part of the celebration. Thank you to Nicole of Sweetness and Light Photography for the beautiful images!
Megan and Clement held their wedding in Mendocino County, at the picturesque Brutocao Contento Vineyard. They opted for classic elegance, with a simple petite bouquet of calla lilies, roses, and dahlia for the bride, and calla boutonniere's for the groomsmen. Thank you to Perfect Circle Photography for the images!
Jessica and Tito were married at the Mill Valley Outdoor Art Club in October. We incorporated lots of fall flowers in shades of burgundy, coral and ivory with vibrant greenery accents. The bouquet included coral amaryllis, dendrobium orchid, ranunculus, hellebores, burgundy dahlias, and more. We added eucalyptus and fern greenery that brought in the lush wooded feeling of the area as well. Jessica and Tito were such a happy, appreciative couple and I am so glad to have been a part of their day, and to have Studio 13 Designs there to capture it all.
Sandi and Nathan held their lovely winter wedding at the Ralston White Retreat in Mill Valley. The venue is a beautiful white house with a heart shaped lawn and sits atop a mountain nestled in the redwoods. For Sandi we designed an elegant, winter bouquet featuring anemone, ferns, ranunculus, roses, and more. We also designed a coordinating flower crown and boutonnieres. This bright and cheery styled shoot was inspired by lots and lots of color! As a floral designer, I often see couples shying away from color, and I wanted to do something fun, bright and playful that pushes the boundaries of more traditional wedding design. As spring and summer arrive, I always am excited by flowers like the vibrant icelandic poppies featured here. They naturally come in a beautiful mixture of bright orange, yellow, and peach, and create a bold effect when combined with other beautiful blooms like king protea, acacia, and garden roses.
The beautiful Olympia’s Valley Estate in Sonoma County was the backdrop for this shoot and also helped inspire the aesthetic. I was lucky to work with the extremely talented Jamie of Studio13 Designs, who captured the essence of our bright bohemian shoot so beautifully.

Alison and Orion were married in their beautiful backyard in Sonoma County. They grew up not far from me, and their parents still live in Mendocino County and grew many of the flowers that were used in their wedding. Alison's mother harvested flowers the day before the wedding, and I was able to choose from all of the bounty to design the bouquets, boutonnieres and the dog collar for their sweet dog. I incorporated California Oak into the designs, and even put a small acorn in the groom's boutonniere, as they were being married under an oak tree. Take a look at a few of the photos captured by Luke Keegan Photography.
KC and Ben held their wedding festivities at River's Bend Retreat in Philo, California, nestled in the woods alongside the Navarro River. The couple wanted a laid back, fun filled wedding where guests camped out for the weekend and swam in the river before the day's events began. The bride hand made ceramic vases which we filled with colorful blooms. They decorated long farm tables where guests ate, drank and danced into the night. These beautiful images were shared with me thanks to Lucille Lawrence Photography. Coordination by Madeline of Fern Foot Events.
Robin and will held their lovely early spring wedding at the Mendocino Headlands and Spring Ranch in Little River, California. They chose a palette of lilacs and grey with a woodsy feel. We used lots of fresh lilac, hellebores and other seasonal blooms. Coordination by RE Associates with photos by The Edges Wedding Photography.
Karen and Jarrod's beautiful Olympia's Valley Estate wedding featured lush greenery, herbs and pops of pink and coral. I loved incorporating potted plants, rosemary, mini artichokes, and many more unique flowers and greenery into this wedding. Karen had a great eye for design and detail and it was such fun designing with her! Photo's by onelove photography with planning by Lisa of Bravo Weddings & Events.
Brandy and Steve were married in beautiful Point Reyes Station, California and were a total joy to work with. Brandy chose vibrant flowers for the collection of turquoise and vintage bottles and jars that she collected. She is a stylist, so there were so many amazing personal touches from the gold animal escort display to the DIY photo booth, and so much more. Check out the full blog post shared by the talented Anne-Claire Brun.
Kimberly and Alex were married at the beautiful Mendocino Botanical Gardens with a reception following at the nearby Holly's Ocean Meadow. The style was black tie garden party, and Kimberly chose colors of peach, blush, and periwinkle with accents of fresh green and white. She was ahead of trend seeing as this year's Pantone Colors of the Year are shades of blush and pale blue. Here are a few photos from the day from Tammie Gilchrist Photography. Coordination was by Zoe of Zoe Braga Events.
I had the pleasure of working with the Bay Leaf Kitchen team to design centerpieces for their first annual Harvest Dinner, held at Red Dog Restaurant and Bar in San Francisco. Their programs teach children and families to grow, cook and eat sustainable food, which is very much in line with our beliefs and practices at Lily + Mint. The dinner raised over $15,000 for their programs, and I was happy to play a small role in helping make the dinner a success.
I chose to use lots of Harvest inspired foliage and flowers, and also used some local fruits, vegetables and sunflowers that were donated for the event. The delicious harvest themed dinner was provided by Chef Lauren Kiino of Red Dog Bar, and tasty libations were served up by Trick Dog Bar. There was even Magruder Ranch lamb from Mendocino County.
A big thank you to Elianna, Amy and Rachel of Bay Leaf Kitchen for putting on a wonderful event and for inviting us to be a part of it.
