I had the pleasure of working with the Bay Leaf Kitchen team to design centerpieces for their first annual Harvest Dinner, held at Red Dog Restaurant and Bar in San Francisco. Their programs teach children and families to grow, cook and eat sustainable food, which is very much in line with our beliefs and practices at Lily + Mint. The dinner raised over $15,000 for their programs, and I was happy to play a small role in helping make the dinner a success.
I chose to use lots of Harvest inspired foliage and flowers, and also used some local fruits, vegetables and sunflowers that were donated for the event. The delicious harvest themed dinner was provided by Chef Lauren Kiino of Red Dog Bar, and tasty libations were served up by Trick Dog Bar. There was even Magruder Ranch lamb from Mendocino County.
